Butler rolled out the mats for the first time during the 1963-64 season. Coach Peck has been at the helm of the program for nearly half of the history of Butler Wrestling. A 1983 Butler graduate, Coach has been a member of the Butler Wrestling family for over 40 years. Coach Peck was named Head Coach back in 1994 and his mission was to revitalize the program. Over the past 30 years Coach Peck has built a resume which includes:

- A Dual Meet Record of 256 & 125

- With 1 Top 8 State Duals Finish

- With 2 Top 20 State Finish

- 16 Team League Titles

- With 90 League Champions

- 7 Team Sectional Titles

- 290 Sectional Placers

- Including 73 Sectional Champions

- 244 District Qualifiers

- With 85 District placers

- Including 6 District Champions

- 59 State Qualifiers,

- 9 State Placers

- 2 State Finalists

- 1 State Champion

- Academic All-Ohio, 3 Team, 10 Individuals

While accolades and accomplishments of his teams and wrestlers have achieved on the mat over the years are impressive, the true testament to his time as Butler Wrestling's lead man, are the hundreds of young men he helped become better versions of themselves. From the freshmen who asked, "When do we put up the ropes like they have on TV", to the record setting state champ, and everyone in between, Coach Peck has held, and continues to hold all his wrestlers to the same standards:
