Congratulations to Haley and Mitch for being Morton Middle School's Athlete of the Week!! Haley has been an essential member of the cheer program, participating in football, basketball, and competition. Her dedication and resilience this year have truly set her apart. Although Haley’s competition season was unexpectedly cut short due to a severe injury, she has shown remarkable determination throughout her recovery. She has worked hard, maintained a positive attitude, and is now back on the sidelines for basketball season! Even when she was unable to participate fully, Haley continued to attend as many practices and games as she could. She consistently demonstrates what it means to be committed, supportive, and team-focused. Congratulations to Elizabeth Koewler and Zane Stephens for being Butler High School's Athletes of the Week!!!Elizabeth Koewler lead the Lady Aviators Bowling team at their first tournament with a high game (248) and series (543). She placed 3rd individually. Even when things weren't going her way, she kept a smile on her face and cheered the team on. She a great example to others with her attitude and drive to be better. Another multi sport athlete making an impact and getting things done in the classroom. Great job Elizabeth, Keep Working Hard!!Zane opened up his season with a championship at the Gold Bear Invitational for the Aviator Matmen. He recorded 3 pins and 2 technical falls to go 5-0 on the day. Zane does whatever is asked of him putting the team first helping to lead his team by example. Congrats Zane, Keep Working Hard!!!

Thanks to all who came out Friday night to help celebrate our Military Families and to support our Aviators. It was such a special and unique event for our Military Families and Aviators. A special shout out to our Purple Star Team for organizing such an amazing event. We celebrated our Girls Bowling State Champions during a BHS pep assembly in their honor. Thanks to City of Vandalia and Butler Township officials for joining us! The team was also featured in the Dayton Daily News. This great achievement marks the second team state championship title in school history. Our other team state title belongs to the 2019 Boys Bowling team!#WeareAviators

Congratulations to Austin Kuhns, Brendan Swinderman, Alex Hale, Korey Snyder, Dayne Schlageter and Brodie Schlageter for qualifying for the State Championships. This past weekend the Boys placed 10th in the Southwest District leading the Dayton Area Schools. Austin Kuhns, Brendan Swinderman, Alex Hale and Korey Snyder qualified for the 200 Medley Relay with an 8th place finish at 1:38.14 Dayne Schlagetter, Brodie Schlagetter, Austin Kuhns and Korey Snyder qualified for the 200 Free Relay with a 5th place finish at 1:27.30Korey Snyder also qualified for the State Championships in the 50 Freestyle with a 12th place district finish at 21.60Brendan Swinderman also qualified for the State Championships in the 100 Breaststroke with a 13th place district finish at 59.80Congratulations Butler Swim - Good Luck at State!!!
