Congratulations Kareena Vandervort and Jackson Schilling for being Athlete of the Week!!
Kareena is off to an explosive start to her sophomore campaign on the track! She now holds the school record in the 100m Hurdles at 15.93 and is currently ranked 6th in the state rankings in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 45.79. Kareena is also a key member of the 4x400 M relay team that is inching closer to a school record with each performance. Her work ethic is unmatched and she quietly leads by example on and off the track. She continues to improve each meet and challenges her teammates to do the same. Great job Kareena, Keep working hard!!
Jackson works extremely hard at baseball, lifting and in the classroom. He was 5 for 7 in Myrtle with 6 walks, 6 RBI's and 2 doubles. His on Base percentage was .846 and batting average of .714. Jackson is currently 10 for 23, with 3 doubles, 10 RBI's and a .435 batting average. Jackson has been a rock behind the plate for the Aviators as their catcher. Great job Jackson, Keep working hard!!!
