The girls’ varsity golf team competed in three separate events this past week. Tuesday, Aug. 22nd, the girls traveled to Beavercreek for the Diana Schwab Invitational where they scored a 203. Butler High School Weight Room Renovation The Vandalia-Butler Athletic Department in cooperation with the Vandalia-Butler Athletic Boosters are working toward a $100,000 renovation project of the Weight Room at Butler High School. The GWOC North Champion Butler boys’ golf team is headed to Centerville to play in sectionals Monday, Oct. 3, following a win at the Butler Invitational Saturday, Oct. 1 at Cassel Hills. Rain Cancels Girls’ Golf Post-Season Tourney

GWOC officials were forced to cancel the girls’ golf post-season tournament due to weather, making the course unplayable Wednesday, Sept. 28. The post-season awards were given out based on the pre-season GWOC scores. Junior Kaitlyn Jackson was named third on the All-American First Team. Congratulations Kaitlyn.  

Butler Golfers Bring Home Honors

Honors are coming in for the boys’ varsity golf team. The team is the GWOC American North Division Champion. Senior Zach Crawford and sophomore Austin Greaser were both named to the All GWOC team. Four Aviators were named to the American North All League First Team. Zach Crawford, Austin Greaser, A.J. Lawrence and Jack Herbst.
