Moses Named Medalist Versus Greenville

Senior Katy Moses was the Medalist Thursday at the Turtle Creek Golf Course as Butler took on Greenville.  Moses shot a 52 for the Aviators.  The girls’ lost to Greenville by just four strokes, 230-234. The girls are next in action Wednesday, Sept. 2 against Troy.

Boys’ Golf Scores Win Over Greenville

Boys’ golf blasted Greenville Thursday, winning 149-187. There were some outstanding scores by the Aviators. Zach Crawford shot a 33, Gannon Godsey a 36, AJ Lawrence a 37 and Jack Herbst a 43. The boys return to GWOC action taking on Troy at Miami Shores Thursday, Sept. 3.

Girls’ Tennis Beats Milton-Union 5-0

Girls’ tennis continues to dominate the competition, beating Milton Union 5-0 Thursday. Individual results: 1st Singles: Madison Peyton (Vandalia-Butler) def. Girls’ Varsity Soccer 1-1 after Centerville Loss

Girls’ varsity lost to Centerville Wednesday night 6-2. Brittney Petrosky scored both Butler goals. The girls face tough competition Saturday when they travel to Tecumseh for a 3:00 start. The girls are 1-1 on the season.

Crawford Ties for 3rd at Mixed Invite

Another good day on the links for Zach Crawford who tied for 3rd at the Diana Schwab Mixed Invite Tuesday. Crawford shot a 39. The team combined to card a 175 with AJ Lawrence 44, Gannon Godsey 45 and Jack Herbst 47. The boys play Greenville tomorrow at 4:00 p.m.

Boys’ varsity soccer topped Centerville last night 3-1. The Aviators jumped to an early lead off a Terrence Engle goal, assisted by Zach Burgmeier. Girls’ Soccer Beats CJ for First Time in Four Years

The girls’ soccer teams will be back in action tomorrow night at Centerville at the Elks football stadium.  Construction on the school’s soccer stadium is not complete.
