Congratulations to Samantha Rosenkranz and Riley Seibert for being this weeks Butler High School Athletes of the Week!!!

Samantha Rosenkranz is a four year varsity starter for the girls soccer team.  She is an attacking midfielder whose strengths are her first touch, vision of the field, and passing ability. She currently leads the girls team in offensive points with 8 goals and 8 assists and is ranked top 5 for MVL.  She has been an offensive threat this season scoring or assisting in seven of the nine games.  Overall, she has 32 career goals and 30 career assists. Not only does Samantha get it done on the field but in the classroom taking a college preparatory schedule including AP and CCP classes while maintaining a 3.9 GPA.  Awesome job Samantha, Keep working hard!!!

Riley currently leads the MVL in both tackles (58) and sacks (5) so far this season. Riley currently is averaging 14.5 tackles, as well as 1.25 sacks a game and is on pace to break the single season tackle record for Butler Football. Against Sidney, Riley played a vital part to sealing our win defensively recording 15 tackles and 2 sacks.  Riley always gives maximum effort on and off the field.  He takes it upon himself to set a high standard not only for himself but for his teammates.  Riley puts the team before himself and is currently one of the only players who plays both offense and defense as well as special team.  Great job Riley, Keep working hard!!!
