Multiple Teams · Girls Varsity Dominates 72-28

Monday, Jan. 2, the girls’ varsity basketball team dominated Graham Local Schools, 72-28.

Scoring double digits all four quarters, the Aviators were unstoppable.

The girls scored 16 points in the first quarter and 20 in the second. By halftime, the score was 36-11.

After the half, the Aviators put up an additional 25 points, making the score 61-18 at the end of the third quarter.

During the fourth quarter, Butler scored another 11 points to Graham’s 10, making the final score 72-28.

Leading the Aviators, and putting up a career high, was junior Willow Knight. Knight scored 23 points which included 12 from 3-pointers.

Sophomore Tyree Fletcher assisted the Aviators by putting up 17 points.

Also, contributing was senior Olivia Schoenherr with 9 points, sophomore Abbie Schoenherr with 11 points, sophomore Alyssa Burley with 4 points, junior Natalie Maurer wit 2 points, senior Brittney Petrosky with 4 points, and senior Zoie Franklin with 2 points.

The Aviators move to 7-4 overall and travel to Fairborn on Wednesday, Jan. 4, for their next conference game.
