Multiple Teams · Varsity Softball at 6-4 after Two Saturday Wins


Varsity softball has three games this week, two of them tough GWOC contests.  Saturday, the girls picked up two wins, moving their record to 6-4 on the season.

In the first game versus Bellbrook, Sydney Wilson was the winning pitcher with five strike outs.  Wilson had some offensive help from Katie Henry who went 4 for 4 with a double, Sophie Dent who went 3 for 3, Farrah Cole went 3 for 4, Lyndsey Achs and Riley Clark, who went 2 for 4 and Erin Kroeker and Allison Sugden who went 1 for 1.

In Saturday’s second game, versus Wayne, Cole was the winning pitcher as the Aviators beat the Warriors 5-2. Cole had four strike outs.

Cole had help on defense from center fielder Henry who through a runner out at home plate to save a run from scoring in the third inning. On offense, Morgan Wright, Achs and Henry led the Aviators, each going 2 for 3. Henry hit a triple.  Clark went 1 for 2.
